A Rich History, An Evolved Approach to Care
Cancer Centers of North Carolina is a full-service oncology practice consisting of 15 board certified physicians, physician extenders, OCN-Oncology Certified Nurses, a progressive laboratory and a friendly administrative staff.
Dr. William R. Berry founded the practice on June 1, 1979, as Raleigh Hematology Oncology. Our medical oncologists at the Raleigh practice, located at 4101 Macon Pond Road, are Doctors William Berry, Elizabeth Campbell, Roy Cromartie, Alan Kritz, Stephen Tremont, Virgil Rose and Mark Yoffe. Dr. Scott Meredith is our ENT oncologist and Dr. Monica Jones is our gynecologic oncologist. Our radiation oncologists are Doctors John Reilly, Scott Sailer, and Lewis Rosenberg.
In 1995, the practice affiliated with US Oncology, a national healthcare services network that provides our practice with management, facilities, administration, technical support and ancillary services necessary to maintain a network of oncology care. We also participate in national clinical research trials.
In February of 1999, we opened the Cary practice located at 216 Ashville Ave. Doctors Charles Eisenbeis, P.J. Singh are medical oncologists at this site, located in the medical park adjacent to Western Wake Medical Center.
In August of 1999, we opened the North Raleigh practice at 10010 Falls of Neuse, Suite 203. Doctors Neeraj Agrawal and Margaret Deutsch are the medical oncologists seeing patients at this office. Scott Meredith, ENT Oncologist, also sees patients at this location.
In May of 2003 we expanded to Harnett County and opened the Dunn practice, now located in our new office at 805C Tilgman Drive, Dunn. Doctors Neeraj Agrawal, Elizabeth Campbell, Roy Cromartie, Stephen Tremont, and Mark Yoffe are the medical oncologists at this site, located near Harnett Health Hospital.
In February of 2007, we opened the Clayton practice. Doctor Virgil Rose is our medical oncologist who currently sees patients on Monday mornings.

Today, Cancer Centers of North Carolina offers the Triangle and surrounding areas truly comprehensive community cancer care. Our linear accelerator offers advanced radiation therapy. And the many features of our offices include a comfortable and welcoming environment, a wider range of services, easy accessibility and on-site parking, make it both patient-friendly and state-of-the-art.
Our physicians continue to work closely with Wake Medical Center, Western Wake Medical Center, Rex Hospital, Duke Health Raleigh Hospital, and Harnett Health Medical Center. We contract with most insurance carriers in the area, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medcost, United Health Care, Medicare and Medicaid.

Through our Quality Assurance Program, we continuously review our internal processes to meet the needs of our patients.
