The Stress Management Class for Patients and Caregivers offers practical and immediately helpful tools for daily use in coping with life challenges, particularly the stress of living with cancer.  The class is taught by Harding Birkhead, RN, MDiv.

The Macon Pond Support Group provides support for CCNC’s patients, their families and members of their support system. The group meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at CCNC’s location at 4101 Macon Pond Road.

Any adult with a diagnosis of cancer and their support people are welcome to attend.  This month you’ll have an opportunity to express yourself by putting your feelings and emotions on canvas.  Gina Livingston Murray, owner of Angel Hair Wig Gallery, will demonstrate some painting techniques and lead the group in exploring how painting can help release your emotions and bring you to a place of tranquility and serenity. 

We will paint from 6:00 – 7:00pm.  We will then have time for group members to reflect on their concerns and give support to one another.
